This New Testament was translated into English from theApproved Greek Text of the Church of Constantinople and the Church of Greeceby Metropolitan Fan S. Noli. It is approved for the use of the churchesand Sunday schools under the jurisdiction of the Albanian Orthodox Archdiocesein America.
It is a new translation from the original Greek into modernEnglish. It was the first and only book of its kind by an Eastern Orthodoxtranslator at the time of its publication. It is valuable for librarieswhich want to have a translation of the authorized original text used byall Eastern Orthodox Churches.
Each chapter is divided into sections with titles. Atthe end of the book is a section of two pages which compares the translationsof five verses of this version with those of the King JamesVersion. It notes why certain words were translated differently. There isno preface or introduction.
